my services
Public Relations
I am currently employed at WE Communications as an intern, but here’s more about my general experience in the field:
Having worked as the account manager and brand strategist for Crested Communications, my university’s on-campus agency, I have a particular interest in brand strategy. I also believe that diversity, equity, and inclusion are fundamental aspects of any campaign, since they dictate where the conversation about brand strategy begins.
Additionally, I’ve taken trips to San Francisco, Charlotte, and Washington, D.C. through the National Millennial and Gen Z Community (NMGZ), where I’ve met with and consulted various organizations.
I am open to criticism, eager to learn, and committed to improvement.
Public Speaking and Preaching
I started developing a passion for public speaking as a teenager, and delivered my first sermon at the age of 17. Since then, I’ve delivered many more through my university’s Protestant Campus Ministries, and have applied these skills to professional settings as well.
During my time with Crested Communications, my university’s on-campus agency, I delivered the final campaign proposal for my team. This was for a real world client, presented in front of a board, and received favorable reviews. I feel very comfortable on stage, and my style focuses on both engagement and concise education.

Connectivity
Human connection is the key to everything.
This is why I believe experiences that bring people together and foster a safe environment where people can be vulnerable are crucial to team bonding and community outreach.
Currently, I’m active in church as a youth worker, assisting the youth leaders when needed as well as leading lessons and being a mentor.
Whether it be a business trip, residential program, or church event, I have a tendency to engage with people in a way that makes them feel heard, cared for, and respected. My passion for connection is something that adds value to whatever project is placed in my hands.

Why Brendon?
I have a long history of academic excellence, club involvement, and longevity in my employment. Having received many academic awards and acknowledgments, including representing University of Hartford’s School of Communication as a student ambassador, I have proven my beliefs in quality and dedication.
On campus, I’ve served on multiple e-boards, namely our PRSSA chapter, NAACP chapter, and Legacy (campus ministry). Off campus, I’ve also served on staff for youth events with the Baptist Convention of New England. I am committed to being involved in change, and always give the best that I can offer.
